Our journey began a few years ago when we were selling toys on Amazon. One day, we received an email from Amazon requesting the EC Declaration of Conformity for one of our toy products. Soon after, similar requests followed for all our toys. Fortunately, we had already prioritized legal compliance by testing our products and obtaining CE, ASTM, and other necessary certificates for selling toys in the UK and EU. However, the EC Declaration of Conformity was unfamiliar to us. When we consulted our Chinese supplier, they advised submitting the CE and EN 71 test certificates.

Unfortunately, Amazon rejected these submissions. We then reached out to a consultant in the UK who guided us in preparing the necessary declarations. This experience highlighted a common challenge faced by many sellers in the UK and EU: spending significant amounts on consultants to obtain these certificates. This realization inspired us to develop a simple tool for creating these certificates.

Initially, our tool required customers to manually input data from their existing certificates. However, we soon recognized that automating the retrieval of relevant directives and standards for each product would greatly benefit our users. With insights from experts and feedback from early customers, we started with toys, an area we were familiar with, and gradually expanded to include major product categories with expert guidance.

Creating a SaaS product has always been a dream for us. We are launching this platform with two subscription options, aiming to become an exclusive compliance hub that provides all necessary documents for entering the UK and EU markets. Our vision is to be a one-stop solution offering information on required labels, additional documents, and more. Additionally, we provide secure document storage on our site, ensuring that customers can maintain their records for the legally required 10-year period after market entry.
